Who: Isabelle and John
What: Isabelle decides to be a distraction for her new found guy.
When: Wednesday mid-afternoon
Where: John's office
Warnings: Fluff?
John hadn't specifically set a date for them to see each other again, but Isabelle thought she'd surprise him at his office. She'd checked with the receptionist before walking in with her tall black heels and darling dress for a welcome visit on his lunch break. She wanted to get there before he paraded out of the office. She was aware the presence brought the attention to his colleges, the receptionist was already chatting on her phone with someone down the hall on who this young girl was.
Standing in front of his office door, she lightly knocked on the door frame with a bright smile. "Is paperwork still a horrible bore? I thought I'd take you to lunch." No matter how he felt on having her around or not, she wasn't giving him much of an option.
John looked up from his laptop in surprise. "Well this is a pleasantly unexpected surprise," he said, closing his computer with a snap. He got up and went to greet her, kissing her cheek lightly. Assertive women sometimes made him a little nervous, but in this case, he was glad to see her. "Paperwork is always a bore. Where are we going?"
"I'm feeling a little like French. Does that work for you?" She smiled with those perfect dimples, wrapping an arm around his waist. "This isn't too much is it? Just thought I'd relieve you for a little bit at least."
"J'aime la nourriture française. C'est délicieux." John gave her a wink. Sometimes, being aristocratic had its advantages. "It's not too much, it's just enough. I was just thinking about you actually." he took Isabelle's arm in his, and walked them out of the office, with directions to hold his calls. Once coats were on and they were out in the fresh air, John relaxed a little.
Isabelle tilted her head in surprise. She hadn't been expecting that. "Is there anything you don't do Mr. Haveland? Any other languages I don't know about yet?" It was still cold out but a beautiful day nonetheless.
"The place I was thinking about is just a few blocks down. It's had rave reviews." Her nose wrinkled a little, slipping out of his arm and facing him, taking his hands in hers. "Were you now? What kind of things were you thinking?" She smiled.
"Just French," he said. "Fluently anyway. And I don't know if you'd want me repeating some of the things I was thinking where people can hear us." He gave her a wink. "I think I've heard of the place you's taking us to. My mother might have mentioned it."
She held onto one of his hands starting to walk again, dragging him with her. She peaked over her shoulder, somewhat curious of his thoughts. She may have asked him to be a little more patient but flattering was always something a girl wanted to hear. She tugged on his arm giving him a sweet kiss, folding into his arms. "So whisper them to me," that light ream of blush pinched her cheeks.
John decided to keep it a little cleaner than he'd actually been thinking, but he did lean in close and whisper something to do with kissing her all over, and what he'd like to do to her breasts. He liked the blush on her face, it made her look so innocent. He'd like to fix that.
Her arms adorned his shoulders, little fingers stroking the back of his neck while he taunted her with his whispers. It was enough to make her skin pimple with goosebumps. She was already developing a crush on him, she knew it.
It was too easy. John smirked, one arm around her waist. "Come on, we're blocking the path," he murmured, getting them walking towards lunch again. He wasn't going to try anything on with her just yet. He was going to make her want it before he attempted anything. He was not going to be the one begging.
She kissed him again being sure she didn't leave a red lipstick stain on his lips when she broke from that moment. Her hand still clasped his as they continued to walk towards the restaurant. She wondered what was so charming about him that was making her fall already?
By the time they got to the cafe, John had worked up quite an appetite. He held the door for Isabelle, then took them straight to the front of the queue. John Haveland never waited in line. He slipped the cashier a $10 bill to not complain and then turned to his date. "And what would you like?"
She wanted to be seated closer than just chairs on opposite ends of the other. She hoped he would find a booth that they could sit side by side.
"What are your recommendations, Mr. Haveland?" she said with a slight purr, the light shining in her eyes.
John smiled and ordered them both a coffee and pastries, then took Isabelle's arm and lead her to a booth at the side. He sat down first. "Have to you been to this place before?"
"No, never," she said with enthusiasm, "I heard about it through some of my friends." It was a gorgeous little layout, the entire menu with typical French dishes, real French dishes. Not just the pretend kind that American's were fond of.
"Have you?"
