Who: Dionysus and Ariadne
Where: Bar
When: Friday night
What:Husband playing and taking his best girl out.
Warnings: TBD
Dionysus had called Kyle in for the night, letting his girl off so he could take her out. Dionysus liked to romance Ariadne when he wanted to. She could ward off horny, mortal men but it made the drunken god jealous. He wanted to wield her off her feet if only to keep proving to himself that he had one thing he wouldn't share with everyone else.
He'd spruced up in his best, telling her to meet him outside the theater. He was itching for some Shakespeare in stage. While the writer himself was no longer sniffing around, Dionysus could appreciate the man's work.

She'd long gotten used to Dionysus own form of romance. Often it came on the coattails of him seeing someone else flirt with her, even if he couldn't understand monogamy himself. It made their relationship complicated, but she'd settled into her role and learned if she wanted attention she'd just flirt back.
Tonight she'd chosen to wear a new white dress she felt suited her just fine. When she noticed Dionysus she smiled at him before kissing his cheek, "don't you look nice."

He pressed an arm around her waist, putting his hair behind his ear to kiss her cheek as well. He leaned back for another on her lips. "You are stunning, beautiful." She had legs that went on for miles, and golden curls that were as soft as they looked. She positively glowed.
It had been a while since they had taken the town on their own.

"Thought I'd dress up. Come before they run out of good seats." She knew whose play this was and found it a bit ironic. She figured Shakespeare had lost interest, which she'd seen coming. Even if people kept interest, she knew Dionysus would scare them off sooner or later.
Odd how he could have affairs, but not she. "What are we doing after?"

She looked so pure. Granted she had had her eyes opened in residing side by side with a his, but she was forever pure for Dionysus. He now liked to ignore that pesky Theseus. In the last few months tormented in his own head and anger with Apollo, Dionysus had gone and come back. He chose to forget the things that angered him right now. He was in his more manic stage.
"That's a part of the surprise." He explained happily. He was spoiling her tonight. He offered her his arm, turning heads as he escorted her to the theater door. It was hard to tell which one they were looking at, as both immortals held an otherworldly beauty.

She knew he was angry, just not at who. She had some ideas, but no assurances. She tried not keeping track. He bounced so much that anyone but him couldn't keep track. She just waited and let him sulk when he was near her. Today didn't seem like it was going to be that. Perhaps an apology in his own way for being neglectful.
"Alright I'll let you surprise me," smiling she took his arm, noticing the looks they got. She wasn't surprised anymore and found it flattering. "You know we should ask them to put on our opera. It's been a while since I've heard it. I did like Strauss."

It was best that Dionysus came to her at his own time with what was bothering him. If she had tried to pry it out of him he would have pushed her away. Things only made sense to Dionysus in his own, tormented and messed up world.
He nuzzled his nose against hers with another soft kiss to the cheek. "Strauss was quite good." Anything that payed tribute to his beautiful wife was a favorite of his.
They stepped into the theater, Dionysus leading her to her seat. He'd missed this view. Watching the stage. Tonight was the performance if Twelfth Night. Dionysus was always found of gender bending stories.

She knew how he worked by now. She couldn't predict his mood swings, but she knew to let him come to her. He would, eventually. She had her own things to occupy herself with.
She smiled to the kiss and nodded, "next time maybe." Once she sat down she settled in to listen and watch the play.

Dionysus lit up at stage shows. It was like old times, only less bloody. Shakespeare did have a ring to his words, even though the next time Dionysus found him snooping around he would hurt him. Playfully, painfully, and slowly.
He grabbed Ariadne's hand, linking his thin arms around her like a drape. It was hard to know what to pay attention to the most. Her or the play. Both were wildly interesting. "You don't hear from him anymore do you?" He asked of Shakespeare, curling her hair around his finger.

She let him drape all over her, more then used to his attentions. She rather liked them, as long as he didn't do anything that would end up getting them both banned from the theater.
She looked at him at his question and shook her head, "no love. He lost interest,as I knew he would." Smiling she tapped her finger on his nose, "now hush, I like this play."

She was an easy target for his wandering hands, which did some sliding up and down her arms. He smiled, glad to hear of Shakespeare's lost affections. "Typical mortal man." They could never compare to a god. He muddled her neck with his name.

She chuckled to his attentions before pushing him off her. If she let him, he'd get ideas and she rather liked the theater and wasn't looking to get banned. "Pay attention to the play love, I think our fellow observers are starting to think us a distraction."

Dionysus was about as slinky as velvet. He was soft and enticing. Ariadne pushed him away playfully, but he still kept an arm around her shoulders when he faced the stage. It was still Act I, creeping into the second.
"Let them look and be distracted. They'll thank me later." He could easily turn some of these people onto their own dates if he wanted to. He was sure public orgies were frowned upon these days, and he had promised Ariadne a pleasant evening. He wasn't going to disappoint her. She'd asked sweetly.

She just smiled to his comment, knowing all too well what he could do. But this was neither the time nor place for it, and she wanted to watch the show. If she'd been less interested, she would have let him.
When the play finished she smiled at him, "see? Now what is your second surprise?"

It had been an hour or so, which he was completely entranced by the play. It sparked something in him. Memories of days spent on end with comedies and tragedies. It brought out a spirit. He felt light on his feet when they stood as he twirled her around off her feet.
"An expensive dinner," he walked her out arm in arm right in front of a horse and carriage.
