Just months ago Ky would have scoffed at the offer of staying with Triton, and laughed at the idea of doing anything nice towards Mel.

But now, sitting here tonight, Ky just nodded and said, "okay." She leaned over the table a little more and ate, feeling the knot of anxiety in her stomach.
