WHO: Greed & Zoe
WHEN: Backdated last Tuesday night
WHERE: Zoe's apartment
WHAT: Can we talk?
WARNING: Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear
The apartment was dark, the only light on in Zoe's bedroom, her door closed. The place was too empty and quiet and she tried to convince herself that she wanted to be alone right now anyways. Zoe was in her jammies of PJ bottoms and a tank top and she sat on her messy bed with a book in her lap, only occasionally stopping to make notes. She was trying to keep her mind off things. She'd turned her phone off since the day before, since.. it happened. She didn't know what would be worse, hearing Greed's excuse or finding out she didn't have any messages from him at all. Both scenarios were pretty bad so she just left the blasted thing off.
Her morning with Patience had drained her and left her more confused and upset than ever. She tried hard to not let what he was saying get to her but she knew it did. And she couldn't even ask Greed about it because he was God knows where.. who cared, he wasn't here. She felt like an idiot.

She grinned at him, "You said you're most comfortable when you're naked so it amounts to the same thing." she liked when he spent the night, she was ashamed that she was getting used to it and that her sleep became shitty when he wasn't there. Damn him.
She frowned a little, "Chance.. you know things will change when my roommate gets back in a few days, right?" he knew this was going to happen, didn't he? "No more popping over unexpectedly.. no more breaking in for sure.. no more 'being comfortable'.. definitely no more sleep overs."

She opened her eyes and gave him an incredulous look, "No. Though seeing some part of your life other than you and your car would be nice." she poked him with the foot he hadn't captured, "I think this will be good though, not spending so much time together." she hated to admit it and said in a small voice, "I'm already finding it harder to fall asleep when you're not there... that can't be a good thing." it seriously worried her. She was going to have to invest in valium whenever he'd end up leaving her.

"You couldn't get through my apartment without getting lost..." He scrubbed his chin. But it was an option as long as there were no surprise visits via his siblings. "But I could manage it." He wasn't going to stop seeing her. Not for a speedbump in the shape of a roommate.

She was surprised when he seemed to actually be considering showing her his apartment. She backtracked and tried again, "Or.. we could just not see each other as much for awhile. Would that be such a bad thing?" she hadn't thought he'd actually show her his place..

"As flattering as it is that you want to see me and embarrass me.. I mean. You have other things to do, right?" if she made this about him then there was a better chance he'd go for it. "You're a busy guy. And I know I've probably been eating a lot into your schedule.. of important things to do. And I mean, your apartment is your place. Your space." she frowned, "Do you really want me there? Because trust me, I know what it's like when someone comes in and takes over." she grinned a little and looked at him pointedly as she leaned in towards him, "It's not as fun as it seems." maybe he wouldn't notice she was rambling..
