It wasn't about physical fighting with women that got them, it was the emotional or verbal support or lack thereof that usually hit the right buttons. He wasn't forceful like his Olympic father. He got no pleasure out of physically breaking a woman. It was just kind of useless. "What I can't just be a gentleman and bow down gracefully?" he liked turning tables to make a quick exit. At this point Hippolyta wasn't going to ram a gun or a knife at him. He was certainly okay with this.
