She could almost pretend they were in Judea, a night in the freezing desert, could she not hear the sound of traffic and taste pizza on him. But she wanted so desperately for it to be Judea again, to turn it all back to a time when they were young and innocent of all their crimes.

She unzipped her jeans with her free hand, attempting to wriggle out of them without breaking the kiss.
