Who: Piper Addison, Lewis Carroll, & Jacob Grimm
What: Dinner! AKA, feeding the skinny author boys
When: Sunday afternoon
Where: Piper & Charles' apartment

It had been Charles' idea to invite Jacob over for dinner, and Piper had to say, as ideas went, it was a pretty good one. She liked Jacob, he had chatted with her about her degree and given her a hug. Piper liked people who gave her hugs. So she'd made chicken pot pie, garden salad, and apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream for desert, shooing Charles out of the kitchen whenever he poked his head in.
She heard the doorbell ring as she was pulling plates down, juggling them and trying not to drop anything. She was pretty sure Charles would answer the door, if not, she could just set the dishes down and run to get it.
