It made Rose feel oddly guilty each time she looked for Aislinn's skin. She knew she shouldn't, that she should let Aislinn go back to her people and the water, but she couldn't help herself. Aislinn had been her rock through losing Sarah, and without her girlfriend she feared she would drown. It beign almost seven years made her anxious. And she couldn't talk to anyone either. If Sarah was still alive, she'd go to her sister. She was sure Sarah would tell her o let Aislinn go, but with Sarah dead she had no one to turn to.

Today she hadn't been looking, determined to find something to surprise her girlfriend with for Valentines because it may just be the last one, when she found the skin in one of the boxes she'd never gone through before. It laid there, quite innocently, and she felt momentarily conflicted. She still picked it up and looked at it, because it was the one thing that would tether Aislinn to her.

She knew that didn't make it right.
