Victor had been trying to calm himself down since Eros had caused him to lose his mind on Valentine's Day. He was already in love with Kat, but he had proposed and acted like an idiot and he didn't like knowing he had been under the influence of someone. He could have done anything. It terrified him.

He was still glad Kat was coming over. Despite feeling like a fool, he wanted to see her. He was fairly sure he could at least try not to feel horribly embarrassed. It sounded like Kat felt the way he did. Ranting sounded like the appropriate way to deal with this.

He had hot chocolate already prepared when she stepped through the door. "Hi," he said, his cheeks flushing red. "I uhm- Want some hot chocolate?"

"I...didn't even think about that," Victor said, feeling stupid. "I'll ask him, definitely. I don't want to be so afraid I close myself off. I lived like that for a long time and it was...horrible."

"I have some experience in this area." she nodded, "Alright, well I'm not going anywhere, and I'll still be here Sunday's. I mean, I won't drag you, but I can prod if you become a bit closed off? That okay?"

"It's more than okay, thank you," he said, relief sounding in his voice. "I'm really glad you still want to be here on Sundays too. I was wondering about that. I promise I won't randomly propose again."

"I worried too, so I brought it up. And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I like our Sunday's." She gave a soft laugh to that. "Yeah. That would be alright." She watched him for a moment then stole a brief kiss. "But I do love you. That hasn't changed. And now I will have that cocoa."

"I love you too," Victor said, feeling extreme relief. They were going to get past this and it made him happy, even through the panic. He had worried it would all end and he would go right back to being miserable.

He kissed her and then stood to go warm up the cocoa again before handing it over to her. "So what was that about a website talking to you?"

She gladly took the cup and sipped fro it. They would be alright. "Oh god." She'd near forgotten that. "Apparently it's not just Gods and Angels that can be human shaped. Something like 4chan does it too, which is just way to weird to contemplate." She shook her head. "I mean what else is out there?" she paused a moment, "don't answer that."

Victor's face twisted and he took a hurried sip from the cocoa before sitting down, a slightly haunted look on his face. "Yeah...don't want to even think about it. That's disturbing."

She gave him a guilty look, not having wanted to make him feel like that. "Sorry. I speak before thinking sometimes."

He looked over at her and smiled despite everything. "You don't have to apologise, I like it when you speak. We're in this together. When I say 'I don't want to think about it' it doesn't mean 'keep it to yourself', mostly it just means I hope I don't have nightmares about the god of cigarettes coming to get me in revenge for quitting. Or...something like that."

"I know. If it helps I don't quite think it works like that? I don't know, really. But if you do have nightmares you're always free to call me." She did mean that. She'd probably do the same thing. She sipped from the cocoa. "Or we can fire Valentines as we did with Halloween?"

"It does help, actually, thank you," he said with a soft smile. "Though I agreed. Firing Valentines. Oh!" Victor stood and he went to retrieve the bouquet of cookies shaped like the Imperial symbol he had forgotten to give her on Valentine's Day. "Think of this as a late Groundhog Day present."

She laughed at the cookies. "Thank you. It's still very awesome. They may last only a few days though." The thought was still nice. "And next Sunday I can make you something? Considering you've been rather awesome so far."

"Well they're delicious too, so if they last long at all, it will be a remarkable show of your willpower." He leaned over to kiss her. "I would like that. Though you've been quite awesome yourself."

She chuckled, "love it's a remarkable show of willpower I am not eating them all right now, so they'll probably get devoured next time I have to study." She smiled to the kiss, "well I did promise and you've been rather awesome at showing interest in my things. I don't want that to just be a one way thing."

Victor just liked to see her smile, but he was perfectly willing for it to go both ways. "Sounds wonderful," he said with a smile. He was feeling a little better, at least. Knowing Kat wasn't going anywhere was a huge relief.

"I spent some time with Thomas the other day, by the way. I think we're becoming friends. He's really great."

"Great, I'll pick up things on the way here." She was looking forward to spoiling him for once. He deserved it. "Oh cool. And yeah he is. Always willing to chat to me at least. I think it's often just him and Jamie so he could use some company."

Victor wouldn't say no to friends outside the station either. He would be glad to offer companionship to Thomas. He seemed like a really great guy. "And there's good news too," Victor sand with a smile. "Rose and Aislinn are getting married. They want to know if we want to have dinner with them again sometime soon."

"Really?" She was surprised to hear that, but glad. She'd only met Rose and Aislinn once but they seemed nice. "That's awesome. I'll have to get them something to celebrate. And sure. Any Sunday is great for me. Or if that doesn't work something after 4pm. All my classes end then."

"I'll let them know," he said with a nod. "It's wonderful," especially since they were both ready to get married, at least as far as he knew. "Rose asked me to be her best man! I've never done that before."

"That's also awesome." She finished her cocoa and set the mug down. "Assuming I can be your date I'll have to look for something to wear. I'm not big on fancy dresses so I'll have to ask mom. She'll love that."

"Of course you're my date," he smiled at her. "You'll look wonderful, but then you always do."

He wondered about seeing if she wanted to spend the night now, but he didn't know if he was entirely ready to sleep with her again after feeling so manipulated. And he wasn't sure how she would feel about it either. He had always been open and communicative in his previous relationships and he decided the best thing to do here would be to talk about it.

"If you want to spend the night tonight, I would love the company. Not sure I'm ready for sex necessarily. I still feel a little manipulated. How are you feeling?"

"Still a bit wigged out honestly. I mean I feel better, just still that lingering feeling. Hard to explain." Smiling she looked to him. "So right there with you. One step at a time you know." She gave a shrug. "And while I'd love to stay, I shouldn't. I blew off classes today and I have to call people to get notes and whatever homework So I should be responsible about it."

She sighed, "sorry. And I'll talk to my boss and bu Sunday I should get you some magic things. And oh, hey, this may not be important but if you worry about people walking in both my grandfather and Hecate can make sure they stay out if you like? They did that for our place."

"Makes sense, I just didn't want you to think I was kicking you out," he smiled. "Magic things sound good, as does keeping people out." He leaned in to kiss her head. "And if there's anything I can do to make you feel more comfortable, let me know, okay?"

"It is your home. I won't take it personally if you ask me to go to my own home. Especially after something like this. You need to digest. So do I." Nodding she went to get up. "You do. You're amazing and wonderful. And you let me come over to rant and have cocoa. And you got me cookies." Smiling she picked the cookie bouquet up. "You're helping more then you know."

Victor stood as well, and he leaned in to plant a kiss on her cheek. "I'm glad to know that," he said and he meant it.

She smiled to him again before collecting her coat to return home. Things would, hopefully, be okay.
