Victor hardly ever talked about it. His father had been his hero, and he was happy enough to talk about the wonderful man who had shaped his happy childhood. Taking about the night the man had been taken from him, however-

"He was...he was at a housefire and there was a little girl trapped in an upstairs bedroom. He just wouldn't leave her even though it was too dangerous to still be inside. He helped her out a window but then the floor collapsed under him-" Victor sniffed and wiped at his suddenly wet eyes. Losing his father like that was why Victor was so afraid of fire, even now. He didn't even have candles in the house and when he had smoked, he had used an expensive lighter with a safety switch.
