"That is indeed true," he said, more seriously. "You'd have to ask him for details, but my theory is that, for a long time, it was just him and me, trying to figure out how to make it on our own. He was trying to raise me, despite still being a kid himself." He shrugged. "Like I said, though, I don't really know for sure."
