Mary's smile was small but relieved. She had been afraid that she might have ended things with that, but it was the final line she couldn't cross. "Mostly," she told him. "I've been paying my way the last year through selling my body to men, but it'll stop now. It was just... when times are hard... it's easy money and it's what I know." She shrugged. She hated that part of herself, especially when she was feeling happier. Mary couldn't help but see disgust and judgement in the eyes of those around her, even if it wasn't really there.
