Victor had spent time with Thomas the previous day and he had watched his friend panic over the safety of his girlfriend. It made Victor so very thankful that Kat was safe. He went to sit next to her on the sofa, pulling her close because she was tangible and there.
He had lost so many people he loved. Kat was still with him. He closed his eyes and kissed her shoulder. "I've felt that way too," he admitted. "But of course we matter."
