Victor kissed her hair, quite content to hold her close. He wished he could do something for Thomas, but the truth was that he was powerless. What he could do, was be there for his girlfriend.

"Your finals are important because you have goals you want to achieve and those do matter," he assured her. "Though screaming and crying are legitimate too. I can't say I'm not worried about you all the time either. We just...have to keep living." He wasn't sure if that was helpful or not.
