WHAT: possible reconciliation

Judas glanced at his watch for the tenth time, mostly just marveling at the feel of metal on his wrist. It was new, and quite expensive. Well, why not? Why shouldn't he flaunt it a little? He should try to look a bit wealthy anyway, eating here. Hence the new suit. The only problem was that real rich people didn't use cash, but he still hadn't got foolproof identity papers for a credit card. He was waiting on them, though.
He wanted this to be nice. Mary had seemed civil in taking up his offer of dinner, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't go ahead and order the most expensive items on the menu just to get at him. Not that he really minded, but he wanted it to be nice. The restaurant was called Veritas, which seemed slightly ironic, but it promised good wine selection. Also ironic, if you looked at it.
He stood up straight as he saw Mary approaching, awaiting her greeting to guage her mood for the evening.
