Who: Jamie & Thomas Kemp
What: Kemps abroad!
When: Uh...IDK. Last week sometime.
Where: Rome, Italy
Italy was gorgeous. Jamie had fallen in love with the place almost as soon as they'd arrived, and had made a list of things to visit while they were on the train. They mostly involved places he'd seen pictures of in his art history guidebooks, and he could have quite happily tooled around Rome for another month or so looking at everything. But they didn't have that kind of time, so he'd written up a 'greatest hits' list of things he really wanted to see.
They'd spent part of the morning at the Sistine Chapel, as the ache in his neck could attest. But it had been completely worth it, he'd only ever seen pictures of the famous ceiling in books, and to see it in real life had been literally breathtaking.
He couldn't stop talking excitedly as they left. "And it took Michaelanglo what, four years to finish the ceiling? It probably would've taken me at least ten. And it's gorgeous."
His stomach chose that moment to growl, and he realized he hadn't eaten since breakfast that morning. "I could definitely eat now, though. What about you?"
