This would be George's second visit to a former monarch in some kind of distress in under a month. Maybe it was the heat, making people crazy.
He knocked on the door, not sure what to expect. "John? Are you home?"
He was angry at John, to be sure. But he was also worried; from the sounds of things, John's behavior was way past his normal levels of paranoia and resentment. Last time that had happened, it had led to a very public meltdown.
