Lena chewed on her lip and then she said slowly, "on Tuesday afternoon Thomas showed up at my house I was worried about how he had gotten there. The idea that he was wandering the city by himself scared me a little. And when I asked him about it, he swore at me, told me I was nagging him, and then he hit me in the face."
