Who: Poseidon and Kymopoleia
What: Father and Daughter time
When: March 2nd, late night drinking cap at a local bar
Where: Local bar
Warnings: This is the child of Poseidon, a girl version---language and whatever else goes down.
It had been years since Poseidon had seen his daughter. He had very little to do with his children unless they were worth remembering. Kymopoleia was one of Amphitrite's but she wasn't hardly the spectacle as he or his other famous children. He made the effort for the sake of his wife, who still reached out for her children. She had simmered down since Triton's return, but Poseidon still found ways to fight and launch her aggressive streak---it was the part of her he missed.
Once his daughter had shown her face and spoken to her mother he played the game he'd promised and taken her out for drinks. Hell knows he needed one.

Kymopoleia was pretty sure she hadn't helped her mother out at all. Even as a child she hadn't been someone comfortable with other people's suffering and over her long life she'd only gotten worse at that. So her sole solution to Amphitrite had been to stand as far away from her in the room as possible and try not to sound patronizing and say 'there, there' too much.
But now she was going out with Poseidon to a bar, a far more comfortable option for the blue-haired goddess. She went off to the bathroom when they got there and let Poseidon get the drinks, only stopping on her way back to him to jam her elbow sharply into the throat of a man who'd gone to touch her ass, giving him a beaming promise that if he tried it again she'd shove her elbow right through his windpipe.
Then she sat down next to her father and lifted her drink with a bright smile. "So what we drinking to?"

She was very much his daughter. She may not have looked like a twin as Triton, but what Triton lacked Kymopoleia made up for in temperament. She could easily swing a glare as quick as her old man, the victim of that glare feeling as if the blood was draining their body.
"To my health, shit who cares," he said holding up the glass and downing it in one swig. He hadn't even looked in the direction of any of the pretty or lonely faces around the bar. Amphitrite still had some kind of velcro hold on him. Not pulling the cheating bastard card just yet only proved Triton's words to his sister. Poseidon's ring was wrapped on his finger, his focus solely on Amphitrite until he moved his attentions to someone else. The last time he'd been so 'committed'--a strong word coming from a bastard of Olympus---was when he'd first taken his vows.
It was enough to make him want a tailspin down in the bottom of his glass. He slapped the counter for another.

"To daddy's health," Kymopoleia smirked, her tone unable to be any more mocking than it already was. She downed her own glass and then shifted on her bar stool to move onto her knees. From there she leaned over the bar to call out for another round of drinks, her skirt slipping higher up her thighs and gaining the attention of a few of the patrons. Kymopoleia couldn't fail to attract attention, being both very loud, very demanding, and rather attractive.
She put the drink down in front of Poseidon with a grin.

One of the patrons beside them eyed the vivacious girl and the equally interested man she called father. Poseidon wasn't about to shower her with attention that she had never been shown from a father, but it was obvious she strove to stand out.
His upper lip twitched into a smirk taking his new glass. He hadn't the slightest idea of how to hold much of a conversation with his children without poking them with insults.
"Still scouring around with a hitched up skirt I see," one brow raise. The last time he'd seen Kymopoleia he'd handed over money for her to get by. He hadn't ever expected to see her again. She wasn't as strong as her brother, "annoying your brother now?" He wasn't really curious but this small talk was something to get used to.

"Still fucking everything that moves?" Kymopoleia returned, her eyebrow raise matching his own, his words completely ineffective against her. Nothing her father said could get to her. (Kymopoleia's biggest annoyance with her father was his disinterest in her despite the fact that they were Greek gods and thus fucking any variation of family was par for the course. Silly daddy, but it was his loss in the end and didn't bother her all that much.) "Wearing the wedding ring's pretty funny though." She snorted with laughter at that.
At the mention of Triton, Kymopoleia just rolled her eyes. "He's such a fucking pussy, I swear to the Rivers. Don't even know how we're related."

Poseidon laughed loudly, that hearty laugh that only a fantastic villain could possess. He sat back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Still sour, you're a bitch just like your old man." He continued to laugh, holding the drink against his lips to let the alcohol burn down his throat.
That laughter was cut short at her jesting remark. "Watch it kid," she wasn't likely to drop the subject like her brother. Their mother was a touchy subject right now, "I'm not going to pay you any favors just because you belong to Amphitrite." His eyes were turning that cold, darker shade of blue.
"He's a little wet under the gills, but your mother likes him." If he were honest, so did he. No one would suspect Poseidon had his favorites outside of the heroes and monsters.

She equally enjoyed making him laugh and making him angry, as both felt like worthy pursuits. Either way she had his full attention and that was something that was difficult to get from Poseidon.
She leaned across to him, meeting his dark eyes with her own. If his tone was supposed to scare her it didn't. She knew he was stronger than her, and she knew that he'd kill her if he felt like it. Maybe the difference between her and Triton then was that she didn't give a shit. But as for her 'belonging to her mother': "Amphitrite," Kymopoleia corrected him, "probably wishes I was the one she'd drowned in the sea at birth." She took a sip from her drink, shifting back onto her chair probably. "She's got Triton to be her little girl."

"I could oblige," he said with a smirk. Amphitrite loved her kids in a way Poseidon kept distance to, but it was no secret Kymopoleia was forgotten at times. Such was the luck of the draw, and yet in a way she was closer alike to Poseidon than any of them.
"If he likes to play house, let her have it," right now he'd give anything to get his Amphitrite back to the woman he wanted. They were closer now though than they had been in years, the ring not the only thing signifying that bond. Amphitrite always held a power over Poseidon that few (if any) had.
"What is it you want?" was the question and curious response. Poseidon wasn't likely going to give her the glances and touches she seemed eager to get from her male family, there were some boundaries he wouldn't cross---or one woman he wouldn't. It was one thing to sneak around with other women in his pantheon, or secretaries who knew no better behind his wife's back---but her own daughter he wouldn't sink that low. Perhaps it was the fact the adored that woman otherwise he'd not give a damn either way.

"You could," Kymopoleia said, running her foot up his calf. "But I think you're a bit concerned I'd enjoy it." She smirked at him, always hoping for a little discomfort.
When he asked his question, Kymopoleia raised an eyebrow. "What I wanted was a drink," Kymopoleia said, holding up her glass. "Other than that I'm just peachy. You're the one that asked me to go see mom."

"If you're anything like me," he gave a half cock of his head and a side smirk, "then it'd be a turn on." He felt her foot move against him and very casually ignored it when he turned, back facing the bar and letting his elbows slide against the counter top.
"I did," he nodded taking downing a third of his drink watching the mortals hanging around the bar in all their pathetic waste. "So where have you been hiding all this time since last I saw you?"

The smirk Kymopoleia gave him with knowing and devious, because of course they shared the same kinks and desires. She watched the mortals he was watching, spotting one giving her the eye and winking at him. Later.
"Hawaii," Kymopoleia told him with a shrug. "Hate being too far from the ocean. Don't see why you fucking do it."

"Needed a change," he said easily, "though your mother seems to think it's changed me." His sarcastic reply. He laughed, that evil laugh with a shake of his head. He'd dragged Amphitrite all around throughout the years. It was when he reached the cold city that he'd lost all warmth with her.
He eyed Kymopoleia giving her a raised brow. "You certainly found your way here despite it all." Probably railed over a number of bodies on her way over. It was at least something to be proud of even if he'd forgotten about her over time.
