WHO: Pheme and Melinoe
WHAT: Meeting the 'family'
WHEN: Wednesday after schooltimes?
WHERE: Ploutons mansion

Melinoe had been watching her ghosts cavort while she sipped tea. A few of them were fighting, and she wasn't entirely sure what the fight was about. When the doorbell rang, she was actually glad for the interruption and she jumped to answer even though usually they had people to do that.

She pulled the door open and then glanced at the blonde girl on the other side of it. "Hello," she said, not recognising the girl, but able to feel she was immortal.

Pheme was feeling anxious. Ever since she'd asked Cerberus if his comment about chasing down the bus if she were to run off with One Direction made him her boyfriend and he didn't answer, she had been a bit of a mess. It didn't help that every time she tried to approach him in school something got in the way.

That something was her feelings, but she'd never admit it. Finally, after taking two whole days to screw up her courage, she went to his house. Blinking up at the brunette who answered, Pheme smiled slightly, confusion evident on her face. "Uh, hi. Is Xander here? Or Cerberus? I need to talk to him."

Pheme inwardly shrugged when the taller woman moved aside, nodding as she walked into the house. "Sure, if you don't mind me waiting. It's kinda important that I talk to him." She paused, realizing she should introduce herself. "I'm Roxanne Vavra, or Pheme. I go to school with Xander."

Pheme flip-flopped on what she called Cerberus depending on her mood and whether or not they were in public. In her head she just called him Cerby. Seeing Melinoe smile kind of threw her off a little, mainly because she wasn't sure what caused it.

"Okay, sure," she responded, heading where Melinoe indicated. "Tea would be nice."

Pheme glanced around the room as she took a seat, unable to hide her amazement at how nice this place was. "He told you he was seeing me? Like, in those exact words?" So he could tell his family he was seeing her, but couldn't tell her if he wanted to be her boyfriend? "We've gone out a few times, yeah."

"Oh, I see," Pheme replied, a dejected tone in her voice. Again, it seemed the scales were swinging out of her favor, and all this back and forth wasn't good for Pheme's delicate little ego.

"It's nice to meet you, Melinoe. What would you like to know about me?" She didn't think there was all that much to tell. "My mom is Elpis, I don't have a dad, and I'm the goddess of rumour, report, and gossip."

Pheme wouldn't even know how to explain it if Melinoe had asked, because it all made no sense to her.

"These days I go to high school where I stir up trouble and run a gossip blog," she answered, a trace of pride in her voice. "And what do you do?"

"You do? That's pretty awesome," Pheme said, excited by the idea of being able to speak to spirits. "It's good that you like it then." She paused, blinking stupidly. "You think I'm important to him? Uh, okay... you can get to know me, that's cool."

Pheme was having difficulty absorbing the drips and drabs of information she was learning about Cerberus, but that didn't stop her from leaning closer and wanting to hear more. "Wow, he does?" She had no idea why he would. "He keeps to himself mostly, but most of the people we go to school with are jerks or idiots so it's for the best that he avoids them." Pheme-speak for 'No, he and I are part of the outcasts, but we like it that way. Mostly.'
