Who: George & Alexander the Great
What: Meetings of awesome happenstance
When: Tuesday late afternoon
Where: Central Park (because I am not clever :|)

Alexander had gotten off work at the usual time, but he just didn't feel like going back to his hotel room right away. It wasn't really tiny or anything, he'd just gotten really tired of the beige paint, weird artwork, and it not being truly his. He'd given himself an ultimatum of February 13th to have a permanent place, and with him, it would happen, come Hades or high water.

He took the subway to Central Park, because he felt like a long walk (and maybe one of those big pretzels) was exactly what the doctor ordered. He started wandering along one of the many paths in the park, lost in his own head and munching on his pretzel.

George was lost in his own thoughts as well, brooding about his problems. He figured he was allowed to wallow in a bit of self-pity. It wasn't every day that a Sin made him attack his own brother.

Fortunately for him, he didn't collide head-on with Alexander. It was really more of a shoulder-check. Still, he whirled around ready to apologize profusely when he recognized the man from the pictures Richard had shown him.

"Oh! Hey!" You're Alexander, right?"

"Oh! No, not exactly. Just on the Internet." He held his hand out. "I'm George, Richard's friend."

"Well, I'm glad it pleased him," George said with a laugh. "I'm patron saint of horses, so sometimes I'm a little...enthusiastic about them."

"Oh yeah," George nodded. "Like, I can hear Christian soldiers praying even if they're not specifically directed at me, since I'm patron of soldiers. I can kind of talk to horses. Well, not talk, because they don't talk, but communicate."

His explanation had sounded a bit smoother in his head. He couldn't help it, though. This was Alexander the Great.

"Well, there's tons of us around," George said. "You've just got to know where to look. And yeah, horse thoughts are pretty great. Like basically: 'Foodgiver! Giver of food! Apples, yes yes?' That kind of thing."

"You are Foodgiver the Great," George said with laugh. "And yeah, we try to keep our halos put away. They're a little noticeable. Although they do make an excellent light source during power outages."

George laughed again and leaned backwards against a tree. "So, speaking of monikers...Alexander the Great." George fluttered his hands a little without meaning to. "Big fan."

"You should be hearing it all the time!" Whoa, calm down, fanboy, George told himself, but he was pretty sure he was still grinning like an idiot. "You were the legend to end all legends."
