March was never really his favorite time. Persephone would need to leave soon, but this time he would do as she'd asked and continue courting her. He hadn't the faintest idea how he was supposed to do that though. He knew how to get her to smile for him when she was in his home. When she was Kore, she was different. He'd need to get to know her, and hopefully not scare her off.

To do that, he had to know what she'd approve of, and what not. So he walked to her rooms with a bouquet of chocolate cosmos laced with jade vine creeper. He'd heard talk they were rare, and she'd always approved of flowers. He hoped it'd be surprise enough.

Politely he knocked on her door and waited. The last days he never came to her uninvited. He'd earned his own reputation, but he'd do a lot owrse for her then bring her flowers if it got him into her good graces.

Persephone looked up and smiled when she heard the knock. She knew he hated March because she would leave soon, but already the woman who was Persephone was beginning to fade.

"Come in," she called, smiling towards him as the door opened. She was seating at her vanity, applying make-up.

He was, however, determined to do better. Before he'd be withdrawn already, letting her trade one mantle for the other. This time he wouldn't. He knew he'd make mistakes, but he'd still try.

He returned her smile and offered the flowers. "For you. They're rare." He stepped into the room. "I wanted to ask a few things. I want to know you when you're Kore. To do that I have to know what not to do. I know it'll be different."

Persephone put her compact down and she crossed over to him. She wasn't afraid of him yet, even if she had started to shed the Underworld Queen mantle. "They're beautiful," she said, taking the flowers into her arms. "Thank you."

She went to set the flowers on her vanity and then turned back to Hades. "You want to know what not to do in the Spring?"

"I'm glad you like them," somehow it was a bit odd to only know a few things that she liked. He'd make the effort to learn more. He set his hands in his pockets and nodded. "Yes. Put down rules. I want this to work but I also don't want to do something you won't appreciate." He offered a shrug, knowing he wasn't the greatest at this. "For instance if I should pick you up for an outing, do you want me to call?"

It was an interesting and very sweet question. She moved over and leaned up to kiss him. "I think calling would be a good idea, so she- I- So I have a chance to calm myself down. I think that will work best."

He smiled to the kiss, setting one hand on her cheek. He'd do a lot worse then call for her. "Okay. I'll make sure I remember. I've figured if we do go out being around a lot of people would be helpful?" He figured a crowd may make her more at ease. "And what about locations? Doing the same things may get repetitive. I'm able to find new things during winter because I know you. Spring will be different."

He lowered his hand, "would it matter if I apologized in advance for being a bit less then happy during Spring? It won't be you, it's just." He gave a sigh, figuring if he couldn't be honest with her he had a lot more issues. "I'm not fond of people. Not living ones anyway. And the sun tends to bother me. It won't stop anything, I just want to give advance apology."

"I think at first being in public will be helpful. We can work up to going away to our cabin maybe. Or a hotel in the city." She didn't think she would want to visit his home, nor did she think it was a good idea anyway, since they had tried that once and it messed everything up.

"I understand," Persephone said, reaching up to caress his face. "I'm different in the Spring too. And so I apologise if it's strange at first. We'll make it work."

He leaned into the touch and smiled to her. "I know. And we will. I am sorry I never thought of it before. And I promise to behave around Demeter." He knew he'd probably have to deal with his sister at some point, but it'd be worth it in the end.

"If we get to that point I figure a hotel will be nice. You'd have the assurance we'd not be out of the city and could go home when you wished. And if all we do is spend time together this season I'll still consider it a time well spend. Or what about Hestia's place?" If anyone could make him behave it would be his favorite sister. "Eventually I mean. You'd know she could put me in my place if it's needed."

"It's okay, Hades. I hadn't thought of it either," she smiled. She probably never would have thought of it either, had it not been for Eurydice.

Persephone lit up at the mention of Hestia. She liked her aunt very much and it sounded like a good idea to her. "I would like that," she said with a wide smile.

He took her hand and kissed her palm. "You think we'd have figured it all out by now." He winked to her before releasing her hand. At the very least he was willing to work on his marriage. He doubted his brothers ever tried so much.

"Good, I'll make sure she knows. I had plans to take the girls there one day as well. Hestia will enjoy feeding them. Is there anything you would enjoy doing specifically?"

"Let's see," she said, her smile slightly wicked. "Well I could do this," and she moved so she could push him towards her bed. "Just off the top of my head."

He was half surprised when she pushed him and he was suddenly sitting on her bed, bu he was far from complaining. "Sneaky. Very sneaky." Smiling he went to reach for her to pull her close. "What else, hm?"

Persephone slipped herself into his lap and she kissed the corner of his mouth. "Probably a bit of this." She grinned at him and ground her hips against his lap. "We'll eat and we'll talk and we'll do this. I promise I won't make you dance."

He gave a light hiss and settled his hands on her hips, trying to catch a kiss. "Just driving me crazy then. I think I'll manage. And uhuh." He tilted his head at her. "See, I know you. Besides if you want to go dancing I'll take you dancing." He raised one hand to brush some of her hair from her eyes. "I'd do a lot worse then dance. You're just not allowed to mock my poor dancing skills."

"I would never do so," she said, giving in so she could kiss him. "In the Spring, I like...silly things. Going to see movies, shopping. I'm not as serious."

He returned the kiss and took advantage so he could sneak his hands under her shirt. "Who was it that made me wear the silly hat?" Not that he really minded. If it made her smile he'd wear all sorts of silly hats. "Doesn't sound too silly to me."

Persephone giggled, remembering him in that silly hat. He had been pretty adorable. She purred at the feeling of his hands on her skin and leaned forward. "If you put up with me, I'll try to make sure you aren't in the sun too often."

He ran his fingers up her back and kissed her before giving her a look. "It's not putting up with you. It's making you happy. But I will appreciate the less sun, however if you ever want to go to the beach I'll endure it."

"I can go to the beach any old time," she said, attempting to reassure him. "I just don't want to miss you for so long. I want to be with you as much as I can be."

He couldn't really tell how much that meant to him, so he leaned down and kissed her shoulder before kissing up her neck. "The same goes for me. I miss you too much during Spring. I will fight to make this work, I promise.. I'm just trying to think of ways to make you happy." He glanced to her, "that's all that matters."

Persephone tilted her head to give him access and she smiled at how sweet he was. "No one knows this side of you," she breathed. "You're so wonderful and it's such a secret."

He gave a soft laugh against her skin and continued kissing along her neck. "Only you. Only ever you." He moved his hands along her sides, watching to see if it was too much.

It wasn't too much at all, not yet. She reached for the hem of her shirt and she pulled it up over her head. "I like the sound of that."

He let out a breath as she removed her shirt and slowly moved his hands up. "You are stunning, you know that? Take my breath away."

She did know, but she loved that he said it anyway. She leaned in to kiss him deeply, glad to still enjoy the closeness before it was too terribly awkward.

He happily returned the kiss, tracing his fingers gently over her skin. He would enjoy this, but hoped he wouldn't push too much either.
