Who: Bia & Prometheus
What: "Oh, hey...sorry about that..."
When: Wednesday afternoon
Where: Cafe
Warnings: Titans, language, TBD

Bia had spent the past few weeks in a state of low-level irritation. Zeus was back in the city, but he hadn't called for her and Nike at all. Her job was to be Zeus' justice, and she was sort of ticked that he seemed to be ignoring her and her sister. Whatever. At least she wasn't unemployed, and keeping up her schedule of clients took up a good chunk of time, so at least she had something to do.

But she had the afternoon free today, and didn't really feel like cooking (not that she ever really felt like that), so she took herself out to lunch. There was a cafe not too far from her apartment that made great steak sandwiches, so she got one with fries and a beer, sprawling in a booth while she waited for her food.

It wasn't often Prometheus went out. He was fairly sure he had a small version of agoraphobia, not to mention his inherit fear of looking up and finding an eagle circling around him. The last wasn't a very logical fear, but he'd long ago learned fear didn't need to be logical.

But he'd had to drop off some art, and realized he was hungry. Left alone, he hardly ate but the cafe looked nice enough. But when he came inside he froze. He recognized the woman nearby well enough and a faint panic overcame him. Her and her brother had brought the chains and put him in it and decades later he feared she'd do it again.

Part of him really wanted to run away, but he had no grudge against her and her kin. There was only one he blamed for his imprisonment, but it happened to be someone she swore her life to.

He debated for a while before crossing the cafe. He took care to stand at the other end of the table, just in case. "If I ask you to keep my presence in this city to yourself, what would it cost you?"

He couldn't help but give a light twitch of his fingers at her comment. He took a breath to calm himself down and set his hands on the chair in front of him.

"You know now." he shrugged, "And I understand duty. I'm no fool. I know your lord's here. I'd rather he never know I was here, even if he should ask. So I ask again what it would take to keep this?"

He toyed with the idea for a moment before taking a seat. "I believe they call that the calm before the storm." Then he gave another shrug. "It's what I do it seems. I know he's forgiven and forgotten as much as I did, so I'd rather not have a repeat."

LOL YES

He decided to believe her. Even so, she didn't know where he lived. He planned on keeping it that way. "I appreciate that. I don't blame you for what you did. We all do what we have to."

That surprised him, but he could see how she would be good at it. "I'll spread the word. A lot of my own clients may be interested. And he's your king. You follow the orders he gives you. Can't blame you for that."
