Who: Hades & Ploutos
What: Visiting the cool uncle
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Hades' house


On Thursdays, Ploutos' classes ended at 1, and he didn't have to work. Which was nice, not having his days packed with things to do from morning until night. He killed an hour or so getting himself lunch, but he still didn't feel like going home right away.

He remembered Hades saying he should come by and visit sometime, so he headed over there. He would have called, but he didn't have any contact numbers. He made a mental note to ask for one, so he could put it in his phone. He found the house and knocked, buttoning his coat against the early spring chill.

"Awesome," he said, grinning and settling back into his chair. "I'll keep my eyes peeled."

"Thank you," he said gratefully. "I'm pretty sure I don't even merit a look from Zeus these days anymore, but all the same, I'd rather not be blind again. Too much to see in life."

He nodded. "Yeah, I keep meaning to call her and then life just happens, and before you know it, it's a week later." He sighed. "Which sounds lame, since she's my sister, but there it is. Still. I will."

He waved his hand, "you never know with that one. Zeus is as fickle as the weather he oversees." he shrugged and motioned for one of the shades to bring in some food. Despite everything, he was a good host.

"well I'll tell her to call you as well next time I see her. You wouldn't happen to know any good opera's right? Persephone wants to see one and I haven't the faintest idea what's good."

"True," he agreed. "I never seek him out, or try to get his attention at all. And I like it that way. I don't need it. I do my duty the same, with or without sight."

"Please do," he said. "And, uhm...let me. Operas. Carmen and Aida are both really famous. I liked Madama Butterfly when I saw it, although that's been...what, 20 years ago? Or there's Tristan und Isolde. It really depends on what you feel like sitting through for a couple of hours."

He didn't want his nephew to get hurt, so he did what he could to keep him safe. "I know that. My brother, however, is a moron and doesn't. Just keep an eye out. Come here if you need any help."

He nodded. He'd look them up. "Well I'd go for something light for Persephone's sake but I'll ask her if she has any particular ideas in mind. Are you hungry by the way? I promise nothing is from Below."

He nodded. "I will. Thank you. I don't seek him out, ever, but I know how he is. It's hard to trust the man who gouged out your eyes." He tried for an even tone, but couldn't help the slight edge of bitterness.

"I probably can't help much there, I haven't gone in about 20 years, like I said. It's alright, just not really my thing." Then he shrugged. "Only if it's not any trouble."

"More then me. I've never seen the point in it. But she wishes to go, and I will indulge her. She fears me, for good reasons, so I'm trying to rebuild the bridges I've burned."

Smiling he rose, motioning Ploutos to follow him. "never any trouble. You know that. I've had the servants dig up some food."

Ploutos smiled slightly. "I went for a girl. She liked and understood it more than me, and wanted me to try and enjoy it too, so I tried. I ended up doodling on the playbill. She wasn't impressed."

"Sounds like you're off to a good start, then," he said, getting up to follow Hades.
