WHO: Ariadne and Minos
WHAT: Reunions
WHEN: Friday afternoon
WHERE: Minos' place

Minos was looking forward to seeing his daughter again, but he had to admit to feeling a little nervous. He didn't hold anything against her, but he hadn't seen her since Crete and he didn't know how much she had changed. He didn't know if she would still be his little girl.

He was getting things ready for his wife to move back in, but he took a break for long enough to make some tea and get out some cookies around the time Ariadne had mentioned she would come by. He hoped it went okay. He wanted his family back together.

As nervous as her father was, she was twice as nervous. He had said he forgave her, and she believed him but still. She hadn't seen her parents in so long, she wasn't sure how to act around them. Before they had always been her King and Queen first. Now that was all different.

Sliding into an easy conversation with her mother had been easy, as long as she avoided talking about Olympians. She wasn't sure how to talk to her father.

She'd brought one of Dionysus' wines, as she'd gifted her mother, and took a breath before knocking on the door. She hadn't the resources to keep a place this nice, and her husband would just blow through it if she did, so she was a little jealous.

She beamed at her father, but didn't approach him. It had been easier with her mother, but her father was always different. It would take time, and she was glad she had that now.

"Father," smiling she handed him the bottle. "I brought you this. It is from personal stock." Her mother hadn't seemed to like bringing up Dionysus so she kept his name out of the conversation.

She laughed, so grateful to hear that. "It's alright. I don't know either. Part of me is still telling me I should bow to you." She had loved her father, but she'd respected him as her King too. Before, she'd just been a daughter. She hadn't woven her own destiny until she'd found the ball of yarn.

"But tea would be nice." With a nod she moved inside, looking at the decorations. "Your home is very beautiful. And I'm pleased you found my mother." She had a guess their marriage may not be perfect, but neither was hers. "It's so nice to have family around."

It smelled divine and with a smile she sat down. It felt like home and comfort, and she took comfort in that. She'd been so frayed for a while she needed this small dose of calm.

"Thank you," she took the cup and sipped from it, wondering where to start. "I suppose you know about Naxos." It was such a huge part of her myth she doubted anyone wouldn't know. "I didn't just marry him. He gave me stars and love." she smiled to the memory. "And he brought me back from Hades' realm."

It hadn't been something she had told her mother, but her father had been judge to the underworld King. She looked at him and hoped he wouldn't share it with her mother. She didn't know how Pasiphae would take knowing her daughter had died. "I don't remember how I died, some memories say other things, but I know I did. And he brought me back and gave me eternal life."

"As am I," she sipped from her tea and tried to think. "I lived a quiet life. I was a wife and a mother and I was happy with that. My husband wandered and I raised our children." she shrugged. It had been enough for her. "Now I own a bar and I make sure the people who come don't slip too far."

She shook her head, "no. but I like keeping busy. Sitting still was never for me." She blinked, not having expected this question. "He's well. As wild as ever. He's got one of his immortal followers back so I haven't seen him in a while." She shrugged, "he comes back though."

It was what she'd taken on by marrying an Olympian. Expecting him to ever change was like expecting water to turn to fire.

She nodded, "he is the wandering god. But he loves me though. Despite his flaws, despite his madness, he does love me." And this she knew because she was the only one who saw his weaknesses and the only one he came home to. "And that's enough for me. It doesn't matter he wanders Father." She smiled softly, "he comes home to me."

Smiling, she nodded. "I am Father. Truly." She had desires and wishes like any other, but she was happy. "I run a bar that has not been in the red once and I have friends around me. I wish I could see my sons again, but they are at peace."

She smiled to that. "I am glad father." Daring she set her hand on his. It was strange to feel him so alive, so close to her. She felt blessed for that alone. "How have you been though? Save for having found me and my mother. What occupies your time?"

She kept her hand on his, glad to know she wasn't dreaming. He was here, and had forgiven her. It seemed all that mattered. "I am happy to know that father." She had never had much of a purpose, only raised to carry through her father's blood.

Her smile brightened then, "I am so glad to know that. You two have found one another again. It's good." She wasn't sure what else to say, considering she didn't want to get into how they'd get reacquainted.

"Fate is odd that way," yet she was pleased it had worked for her parents. "And I have heard of such a thing. I keep wanting to go, but then I get busy. You should come to Naxos sometime Father. It has mortals, but it's a nice place. I can introduce you to Kyle." She smiled at the mention of her de facto adoptee, even if Kyle didn't know she'd taken him as such.

"He's a mortal boy, and works for my husband. He's very sweet."

"Good," she was glad to have more of her parents in her life. She didn't think they would ever appreciate Dionysus, but she hoped they would learn to accept him. She didn't want to feel split between loyalties.
