WHO: Persephone and Hades
WHAT: I don't want to tell my mother...
WHEN: Monday evening
WHERE: A nice hotel room

Persephone was getting better around Hades as the summer went on, and for that she was glad. She didn't see him every day, but she tried to make time for him at least once a week. This week she had gotten a hotel room and told him to meet her there. She had even ordered some room service and it was waiting in the room for Hades' arrival.

For Persephone's sake, she was pacing a little, though she wasn't nervous about Hades. Or that wasn't her man worry! She needed to tell her mother she was having another child and she didn't know how to do so. She wanted to talk to Hades about it first.

When he walked to the hotel, Hades realized this was the first summer he was truly happy in. He was picking up on Persephone's habits and learning who she was during this season. He had to endure sunlight, but it was a minor inconvenience.

His happiness was also there, in part because of the new baby. He'd never had the opportunity to see his daughters become part of this world, and thus leapt on every opportunity to be involved now. So far he'd kept the news to his girls and Charon, and was busy making sure a room in the house was prepared.

It wasn't odd to find her pacing anymore, although it did signify she was worried. He smiled at her, and offered, "hello," but didn't approach her. He closed the door and removed his shades, thankful for the dimmer light in the room. "How can I help?" With that he extended his hand, letting her always choose to come to him if she needed to.

"I've missed you," it was true, he had. He was getting used to their weekly visits. Smiling he kissed her knuckles before stepping closer. Gently he lowered his hand "may I?" He always asked to touch her, never wanting to spook her. He knew she'd let him know what was on her mind in time.

He stepped closer and set his free hand on her stomach with a smile he knew was silly. He didn't care though. Father was a job he thought he did alright in, even if his daughters confused him sometimes.

He brushed his fingers along her stomach for a moment before setting a kiss on her cheek. "you look beautiful. Did you eat?" He tried to make sure she remained healthy, and he knew it translated to fussy at times.

He kept one hand on her stomach as he st the other on her back. "That wasn't necessary but thank you. When's the next appointment for you two?" No matter what, he always went with her. He knew he was trying a bit too hard to make up for all the time lost with his daughters, but it was all rather amazing to witness.

He had the slight idea that was why she seemed so worried. "Good. I'll bring some pictures of the nursery in case you want to change anything. Also, do you want to know the gender? I'd like to but I'll leave it to you." He kissed her forehead then, "and I can tell her if it worries you. She can't hate me anymore then she already does. Despite that, she can love you and the baby. It's her blood too."

He grinned, glad to see her smile. "Good. Am I terrible if I'm hoping for a boy? If only because I'll worry less." He cared nothing about male heirs the way Zeus fretted or Poseidon ignored. His girls would inherit the realm, but he thought he'd have to worry less with a boy.

"Alright. I can be there to direct all her dislike about it if you like? She'll blame me either way, but this way I can remind her it's been a few millenia."

"Hopefully I'll understand a son more. The girls confuse me." And they worried him silly, but he didn't think that would change with a son either. "Yeah probably just you. I think the only time she'd be happy with me would be if I was fading. It's a shame. Before she let this grudge consume her, she was a wonderful woman." He shrugged, "ah well."

He rolled his eyes, "fine, fine. She is wonderful. Even if she has to get over that grudge." He smiled, "I try to be. I always did regret not seeing everything with the girls."

When he heard the knock he released her and went to get the food. After tipping the man graciously he returned with the tray and motioned to the table. "Go and have a seat."

He made sure she had plenty of food before sitting down, "on an unrelated subject I ran into a mortal a few weeks back. Did I tell you? Ligea almost had the poor child. So I intervened. And was reminded of how painfully bad I am at social things."

"She let him go," he offered with a shrug, "spend a few moments talking to him before we parted ways."

He scoffed and picked some of the food of the plate. "Hardly a hero." He shrugged, "mortal, and he had no idea which made the entire experience even more awkward. I kept hoping you'd appear. I'm not good with mortals. I never know what I'm supposed to say to them."
